Research - Possible Performers

Peaceful Panic are a new four piece pop punk band and they have given me and Shane permission to include them in our music video.

They are very confident and happy for us to video them playing together, they know a whole range of songs therefore any song that we wish them to play would most likely be possible.

The band already have a couple of original songs that they have already recorded therefore if the song we choose is unavailable then we can use them as a backup.

Researching band 'image'.

You, Me at Six are an English 5 piece rock band, that formed in 2004. The band achieved their first success in 2006 with their first album 'Take of your colours'

In this picture of the band I think it is obvious that they have had their hair and makeup done, and have been photo shopped to make their skin look lighter but slightly tanned. In this photo each member looks very similar due to the choice of clothes, hair style and clothing. When I come to taking photos and videos of Peaceful Panic I will try to make sure that each member has their own individual style.
 Although, when deciding on what particular clothes to wear, as well as keep them individual there will be a certain colour that the band will wear to keep them looking like a band and not completely different - for example, in the photograph above, each member of the band is wearing either black or grey.

Researching into different shots.

 

This is a photograph I have taken recently from a rehearsal with Peaceful Panic, when making the music video I think that close ups such as this would be good as they are interesting and are a way of getting the audience to focus on specific things such as band members or instruments.
Close ups of their faces shows their dedication towards what they do and I think that is something that fans like to see.

In some music videos I have researched I have seen a couple of low angle close ups, I like these shots as they are not your average close ups, they show you the section at a different point of view that you are likely to see at a festival or concert - these make the video interesting.












I think that shots such as this one would also  be interesting to include in the video, this is a shot I took as the band were stood talking and about to get into their positions to perform. I think some videos of the band getting ready to perform would work well and would be interesting for the viewer, it may also add some humour to the video if the band are joking with each other.
